LCD Controls Fingerprint Sensor Card Reader Icons

LCD

The N2 is apart of the new generational devices featuring an LCD screen, the LCD allows you to completely program the device as a standalone device. The admin menu is accessed through this screen and configurable, allowing you to set authorisation mode, users, door configuration and more.

The LCD will also show the connection status of the device such as an ethernet connection, slave connection etc.

Controls

The keypad allows you to navigate the devices main administration menu, this is how you will access the device, control the device, add users in to the device, create doors and more.

The keypad can also be used as an authentication mode, this is set using ID+pin, allowing the keypad to be used for user authetication. An anotated on the keys you can see arrows on 2, 6, 8 , 4 these are used through the menus.

The function keys can be used for time and attendance, pressing one of these keys will bring up the time codes for time and attendance.

Fingerprint Sensor

This is the fingerprint Sensor, these can have multiple features that aid security such as:

  • live fingerprint detection
  • Fake finger detection
  • a motion sensor to detect when a finger is about to be presented.
  • Secure mode settings for stronger matching across reference points

Card Reader

Card RFID reader, all devices can be used as a card reader. they either use standard Mifare cards or DesFire ev1/ev2/ev3.

some of our readers can also read the HID card type with the A reader version BLN2(device) - OAB(type)

Icons

These Small icons represent the status of the device:

The star is to represent that the device has a connection to a server, this can be useful when trying to figure out if the device has a connection to an unknown server when trying to setup the device.

Ethernet Icon: The symbol that is a squiggly line, this indicates that the device has an ethernet connection.

RS Icon: This is for RS-485, this represents the device has a slave connection. This can be for being the slave device or having a slave connected.

If there is an X on the images then it means the device has either failed or cannot make the connection
